Understanding patients’ rights in the European Health Data Space

In March 2025, the regulation establishing the European Health Data Space (EHDS) entered into force. This landmark initiative aims to empower European citizens by providing them with electronic access to their health data while ensuring secure data sharing to enhance healthcare, policy-making, and research.
In May, EPF will host a webinar titled "Understanding patients’ rights in the European Health Data Space".
Date: 15 May 2025
Time: 11:00 - 12:00 CET
Register here.
This webinar aims to educate patients, citizens, and stakeholders on the key aspects of the EHDS, focusing on patients’ rights and the practical changes the regulation introduces. It will provide a clear explanation of how EHDS enhances personal health data access, sharing, and security while highlighting the role of patient organisations in shaping its implementation. Additionally, the webinar will explore the health data literacy efforts needed to ensure that patients and citizens can fully understand and exercise their new rights under the EHDS, empowering them to navigate the evolving digital health landscape with confidence.
Full agenda will be shared soon.
