Professional Qualification Directive: EPF responds to the Commission consultation, and issues a Joint Statement with EPHA
Ensuring that healthcare professionals have the right training, and are fit to practice when they move from one EU Member State to another, is of crucial importance for patient safety and quality of care.
In the context of the modernisation of the Directive on Recognition of Professional Qualifications, The European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) and the European Patients’ Forum (EPF) issued a Joint Statement to call on the European Commission and Member States to maintain safety and quality of care a high priority in EU agenda. EPF has also responded to the European Commission’s public consultation on the evaluation of the Directive.
