Patient-Medtech Dialogue Workshop “Patient Involvement in the Lifecycle of Medical Devices” 28 June, 10:00-16:00, Brussels
On 28 June 2019, in the context of the annual Patient-Medtech Dialogue, EPF and MedTech Europe will organise a workshop on “Patient involvement in the lifecycle of medical devices”. This full-day workshop aims to:
- Provide an overview of the lifecycle of medical devices from development, through CE mark and post-market surveillance and explain the different steps from an industry perspective.
- Provide examples and identify gaps of patient involvement in the different steps of the process
- Create a learning module on this topic for the European Patients’ Academy (EUPATI)
- Discuss ideas for other potential learning modules on medtech for the European Patients’ Academy
The Patient-MedTech Dialogue is a platform where patients and industry members can discuss topics of mutual interest. The Dialogue has been in place since 2011, initially set up with the European Patients Forum and its members, but now also extending the invitation to other patient associations.
We would like to invite interested EPF members to participate in this workshop. Please find further information about the meeting, including a draft agenda, as well as the registration link below.
