Happy 10th Anniversary to the Spanish Patients’ Forum!
On 17 March we were in Madrid to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our member, the Spanish Patients' Forum. We congratulate them on the road traveled so far, and wish them a lot of success for the years to come!
Spanish patient organisations, health professionals and international partners of our Spanish member, the ‘Foro Español de Pacientes’ came together for an intense day of discussions under the auspices of the University Hospital Foundation Jiménez Díaz.
After ten years, the organisation is now making new start. Maria Dolors Navarro, President of the Spanish Patients’ Forum, presented the strategic priorities of the national coalition for 2015-2025: “Representation, participation, innovation and knowledge management will guide our work. Our objective is that the patient has a say in all the decision-making policies that affect him.”
The Spanish Patients’ Forum has been a member of EPF since 2007. During her intervention, Nicola Bedlington, EPF Secretary General, recorded the major role played by Albert Jovell (former President of the Spanish Patients’ Forum and former EPF Board member) in initiating EPF’s work on key issues such as Health Technology Assessment.
