Blog: “Looking at health through a gender lens”
The patient has a gender. Men and women’s differences go well beyond biology and physical characteristics. The State of Men’s Health report outlines these differences from the male’s perspective. Ph.D. Svend Aage Madsen, Vice President of European Men’s Health Forum (EMHF) which is associate member of EPF, looks at these differences.
"EPF collaborates very closely with both the European Men’s Health Forum and the European Institute for Women’s Health to ensure that a gender perspective is included in all of EPF’s work. Gender equity is also one of our core values. It was a pleasure to be part of last year’s conference on gender equity through life in Copenhagen during Men’s Health Week. This year we will work with EMHF in a round table on primary care during 2013’s Men’s Health Week”, added EPF Director Nicola Bedlington.
