EUPATI Graduation Ceremony took place on 31 January: more than 50 EUPATI Fellows graduated!
The EUPATI Patient Expert Training Course has been designed to meet the needs of patients and patient advocates who have the motivation and skill-set to acquire and apply expert-level knowledge across the whole spectrum of the medicines research and development (R&D) process. The third cohort of the Programme consisted of more than 50 patients and patient advocates, who have invested hours of works in the last 15 months.
On January 31, the EUPATI team and EPF held a virtual graduation ceremony to celebrate the successful completion and gongratulate the EUPATI trainees. They had the chance to hear from Marco Greco (EPF President), Nicola Bedlington (EPF Secretary General), Matthias Gottwald (Bayer) and Matthew May (EUPATI Coordinator), who have been co-leading and coordinating the Programme. The graduates heard about the landscape of patient engagement across Europe and other inspirational developments. They will now set out to pursue their work as “fully trained-up” patient advocates.
We would like to congratulate the EUPATI Fellows for their efforts and motivation in successfully completing the EUPATI Patient Expert Training Course. The European Patients’ Academy is very proud of the more than 150 Fellows who have graduated from the course so far. They are now empowered and ready to play a key role in the implementation of patient-centred clinical research strategies and approval processes, access to treatments, as well as treatment optimisation approaches.
We wish you all the best and luck for your next adventures as EUPATI Fellows!
