About EKPF

The European Kidney Patients’ Federation (CEAPIR) was founded in 1981 and is the umbrella organisation for 23 national kidney patients’ associations across Europe.

Type: pan-European disease-specific organisation

Disease area: Chronic Kidney Disease. Patients on dialysis treatment and kidney transplant recipients make up the vast majority of patients but EKPF also includes those in the early stages of kidney disease who are sometimes called pre-dialysis patients.
